2009 Reunion

The reunion was a great sucess this year. Thanks to all that came out! There was 110 people who attended! We had lots of fun playing games, doing races, crafts and fishing.

40 Years of Reunions DVD

After hours of reminiscing, 40 years of family reunion fun has been edited to 1.5 hours and is available to purchase at the 41st Family Reunion on Saturday, August 1. A minimum donation of $15 is required. All proceeds will go to the Antonino-Bleggi Reunion fund. Reunion RSVP

The Antonino Bleggi Family is quickly approaching and we are needing a commitment for trailer and tent sights. The reunion is July 31-August 2. Please let Glenda (glenda.bringhust@nebo.com) know by June 12th if you will be camping. The sight will not have hook up for the trailer, but there are bathrooms and a large pavilion.

Don't forget to bring new items for the auction.

Reunion DVD

Courtney whats to put together a reunion video from years past, especially the reunions in the 80s. She would like to collect photos and video to put on a DVD. The video would be sold at the family reunion fundraiser. She can convert any tapes or scan photos. So if any one has any fun photos or movies that they would like to add to this DVD please let Courtney know.

Rose Bona Johnson

(July 24, 1918 - March 18, 2009)

Rose was born July 24, 1918 in Carbon County to Frank Santo and Anna Brenna Bleggi. After her father’s death, her mother married Antonio (Tony) Antonino, the only father she knew. She was a member of the Catholic Church.

Rose had a special place in the heart of her eight brothers: Frank, Joe, Angelo, Charlie, Lewis, Camillo, Johnnie and Nino. Nino Antonino is her only surviving brother.

Rose married Jack Bona April 17, 1941. They were parents of five children: Sharon (Joel Haws) Bagley, Janet (Richard) Ericksen, Tom Bona (deceased), Linda (Ron) Mason, and Shauna (Randy) Leetham. Jack preceded her in death in 1980.

She married Willis Johnson in 1990. This union added four children: Kaye, LaRaye, Ted and David. The beautiful Rose garden Willis planted for her was a symbol of the love and friendship she projected to all throughout her life. He preceded her in death in 1994.

Rose loved deer hunting and fishing with her husbands, brothers and grandchildren, and traveling with her many friends. Her favorite pastime her last years was playing bingo with her daughters, grandchildren, nieces, nephews and fun friends.

Our heartfelt thanks and love is extended to Dr. LeRoy, therapist Doug Whitaker, Paige Steele, all the special friends at Hearthstone Manor (you know who you are), and Vista Care Hospice for the kindness and love you gave our mother.

She is survived by her four daughters, 20 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. She is also survived by many dearly loved nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.

There will be a rosary held at 5 p.m. on Friday, March 20, 2008 at Wheeler Mortuary, 211 East 200 South in Springville, followed by a viewing from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 21, 2009 at 11 a.m. in the Heritage Church at 1600 North Main in Mapleton with a viewing one hour prior to the services. Interment will be in the Spanish Fork City Cemetery.
